Spiral as symbol of time. Cutting winds, time and aeolian processes stripping away layers, depositing new ones, shaping and changing. Skin / Surface has a protective function, has depth - the more it is shorn away, the more we are exposed and the looser we are held together. Skin is shed and regrows as a continual process over time, thus opportunities are created, fissures gather dirt, winds redistribute, new life/hope glistens and gains traction.
