VISIBILITY BLACK ART PROJECT with Outside In Midlands Hub 2021

Between May and July 2021 I was one 8 West Midlands based ethnically diverse artists taking part in four “Zoom Cafes”. Outside In Midlands Hub lead Jose Sunshine-Okoro and Pauline Bailey (Artist/Curator) facilitated the project to highlight black art held in collections. Through the sessions, participants were encouraged to take part in discussions on “black art” and “black art history”, also learning about and sharing the context of their own creative practice and their personal experiences of the cultural sector.
